Flowering on my neighborhood trees

April 07  2013 Sunday i looked out the door-gate and noticed the pinkish hue among the green branches swaying in the overcast morning sky.

Trying to bag the flowers ... eos  60D // 250 mm lens .. the image is still a little of small.

Here is a  crop of the first image. .. toasted in Gimpshop.  My sansui LCD had very different contrast versus my HP Laptop screen.  Parakeets , swamps of them get attracted to this during fruiting. My earlier blog.

Johore Tree - Lepisanthes alata, Perupok,

A few Johore trees lined the street not far from Sembawang MRT station. First noticed on my bus trip 858 on Saturday of the inflorescence and the duku langsat- like berry . I have not seen these else where in Yishun, Admiralty or Woodlands. Fruits will turn deep red to purple and reported to be sweet. Hm....  lets see.

Sentosa Flowers 2013 @ Palawan Beach

On the second day of  CNY we visited Palawan Beach after taking a  stroll on the boardwalk and boarded the Lrt at Imbiah Station to Beach Station. Overcast afternoon sky provided a reprieve from the usual harsh sunlight.
