11:00am ( a bit late this week)

We did our normal climb the stairs path- Dairy Farm Loop(mid top of the map below). Took the left branch - Seraya loop - proceed to Jungle Fall Path to Summit.  iI addition we took in the Summit path and (missed out going down the Catchment Path) went off main road into the Rock path which brought us back up and returned via the Tiup Tiup Path and back through the Right hand Dairy Farm loop.

Grafitti ( names carving)  on this 'war of the world' machine.  Dillenia Grandifolia showing the stilt roots
'L' shaped foot here

Rock Path :Here you need to be on 4s to climb over

Sterile terap-like species fruit

Rattan's fruits

Foot rest and hand-rail built into this fallen trunk to allow you to climb over this obstacle safely.

Iridescent blue underneath showing as the wings were wave slightly
The long thin stick insect ( 2/3 the above width) in mid centre in the image above. It flew away...when disturbed

Nature's best long distance air-borne dispersal parachute design with a longish seed as payload. Pulai seed?

A  marginal little slip.  Notice just after the Dairy Farm Hut t out but this hardly deter anyone from continue using the trail.

Thought the leaf was cute with leathery shine

Dillenia Grandiflora ( simpoh)  - shoot the sign to ID the tree with walking-like stilts.

Wonder who picked the soft central  of wild of these rambai fruits close to the ground.  Monkey with nimble fingers seems to be the only one fitted. See how the fruit was peel at the centre.

Dammed up but only small stream trickling through

Seraya trunk

Near summit - scores of young fruit at zoom lens end

Drongo - perhaps missing part of the Racket tail

Some one layout the fallen fruits

THe only path you need to go on fours to get up. Easy ascent

Tiup tiup path seems deserted and the hut is covered with dead leaves and look at the sign boad below...

Rusty sign board  but the Tiup tiup path - green route is clearly marked  in this map.
