Taman Negara June 29 - Jul 03 2018

Bukit Dedari / Taman Negara /  Rapids and water play Orang Asli

Bukit Dedari on the right top branch of the GPS route. Kuala Tahan on the lower left is where you need to take a boat to cross over to the Taman Negara. Our resort is just opposite the end point of the Canopy Walk.

Jerantut market selling Malay kuah kuah , nasi lemak and others.

350 years old and straight trunk up had been yielding honey from bees nest over the years. No nest was seen while we were there

Unknown fruiting near the Danz's resort

The sandy bar near Danz Eco Resort at Kuala Tahan - Just opposite the end point of Taman Negara's Canopy Walk. Good spot for photographing the night sky if the moon is away and no clouds.

Strange fruit growing straight from the trunk next to the capsule areas

Back of the capsule - a two segment joined concrete storm water pipe - showing where the aircon unit was situated

Unmarked entrance and we have to take note the site of a viper a branch not far from the passing trails.
THe summit
Deja yu - Sundogs flanking the sun at the summit
Drone became the ever popular imaging platform

Note the light green paints on the two column - it marked the Sungei Tembeling flood water level that wipes out most of the houses.

Leech socks ... if you have not seen one before.
I only have a baby leech that tries to anchor on my inner upper arm but the slight pain from incision alerted me and I yank the fellow out and flipped repeated to rid of it
