First thing first - it is hot up North here: 34 degrees C !!! If you want to escape the heat .... go visit Penang Hill 883 meter the temperature is 4-5 degree cooler.

| Curry Mee with pig blood since we miss the boat for the famous Fat Sisters Currey Mee in Air Hitam we tried another store. The pig blood is a little bit put-off for me.. In Singapore with si-ham and no pig blood, we called it Laksa. |

| Bedak Sejuk - the older generation ladies used this to apply to the face to cool off. Chempaka flowers provide the scents to the rice-based white pallet. ( the shop assistance thought the flower is just a flower brand) .Not as common as the Mymmar ladies from a certain tree trunk |

| The funicular train tunnel. Pretty steep at a gradient of 27+ degree. This reminded me of Wellington's tram up the Kilburn area. I recalled having to take the tram almost every day for a few months as my holiday work is in Win Gate lower Hutt Valley and we stayed at Victoria hostel. |
